This is the second outing on the album for flautist extraordinaire Biscuit. Amazingly we managed to get two tracks recorded in as many hours during our initial recording session. We would have probably spent longer in the studio if it wasn’t for it being one of the hottest days of the summer. By 3.30pm we decided to down tools in favour of a cool one at a local beach bar. Luckily Biscuit managed to provide all I needed in the way of killer flute action. At the time of recording, I just had the drums hooked up (yup, you guessed it, more Addictive Drums 2), and after some heavy flute jamming we happened upon a winning eight-bar melodic progression. As with Taking The Biscuit, I then spent days comping and chopping it up. This was such a joyous process but quite tough, as it pretty much all sounded great and we had recorded around 15 minutes worth. I wanted to keep the feel of this track raw and stripped back, so I kept the additional instrument count pretty low – just some virtual Rickenbacker bass, Gibson guitar, and clavinet.
