Right, I’m going to expose the break on this, mainly because I don’t really think anyone even owns the rights. It’s basically taken from an Ebonite record, one of a series of weird tax write-off records from the late ’70s. They were a combination of original compositions and cover versions, very raw and stripped back recordings with minimalist instrumentation. In the case of this break by the Returners, the whole track features just drums and organ! Every beatmaking digger’s dream. I applied some precise chops in order to extract the baddest bits of drumming, and in true Ebonite form just left it there bar the addition of some rather demented equestrian horse play ;-). And big up the legend Craig G for providing the great Barry cuts.
